Welcome to Old Mill School

Our children are a community treasure. Educating and nurturing them is our responsibility,
our joy, and our contribution to the future.

At Old Mill School, we provide our students with a well-balanced instructional program integrating academic disciplines through meaningful activities and experiences.  “Hands on, minds on” learning is a theme at Old Mill.  We are mindful of the broad range of learning styles among our students and design our programs accordingly.  We are committed to providing the best possible educational experience.  We have created an exciting learning environment, and our teachers and staff work closely with parents to:

  •  Promote positive self-esteem
  •  Emphasize safety, kindness, respect and responsibility
  •  Foster intellectual curiosity and critical thinking
  •  Motivate students to develop to their fullest potential intellectually, socially, and emotionally
  •  Cultivate cooperative, productive citizens and lifelong learners

Old Mill School is a wonderful place to work as an educator because the community feels such intense pride toward our school.  Our children come to us prepared and supported by their families for learning.  There is constant communication between home and school which fosters collaboration.  And family members regularly help in the classrooms, chaperone field trips, organize and participate in fundraising activities, and support teachers on special projects.

This ongoing cooperation is key to our success.  And it works!  Family and community support and involvement allows for higher teacher and student performance which reinforces the parent and community support.  It’s a winning arrangement all around.
