Mill Valley School District Resolution # 07-03/04

RESOLUTION REGARDING CLASSIFIED LAYOFFS

December 10, 2003

WHEREAS, the elimination or reduction of workload formerly available to the District necessitates the reduction of classified services and necessitates the layoff of a portion of a classified employee's position;

NOW IT IS RESOLVED that the Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees finds it necessary to reduce the following programs and services:

• Instructional Assistant – Special Education/Autism - .075 FTE (1 partial position)

IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board authorizes the District Superintendent to give appropriate notice to persons employed in the above position that these services will be reduced by January 10, 2004, and to give additional notices of layoff to any individual employees who, due to placement on the seniority list, may be laid off as a result of displacement by more senior employees in service areas that are, by this Resolution, eliminated or reduced.

PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees at a meeting held on the 10th of December 2003, by the following vote:
