| CALL TO ORDER | The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School District, met in special session at 8:00 AM on Tuesday, January 25, 2005, at the District Administrative Office, 411 Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley, CA. President Reynolds called the meeting to order at 8:02 AM. |
| CLOSED SESSION - Labor Negotiations |
As there was no public comment, the meeting was adjourned to Closed Session at 8:03 AM for a conference with labor negotiator regarding the Superintendent's contract. |
| RECONVENE/REPORT | Ms. Reynolds reconvened the meeting to Public Session 8:05 AM and reported that no action was taken in Closed Session at this time and that the Board would be recessing to Closed Session again after taking the following action. |
| PERSONNEL - Supt. salary agreement | M/S/C Khademi/Freiberg (5-0) to approve a salary increase to $160,000 for the Superintendent, effective July 1, 2004. |
| Recess to Closed Session | The meeting was recessed to Closed Session at 8:07 AM. Due to prior commitments, Mr. Swartz and Mr. Freiberg left the meeting at 8:20 AM and 9:00 AM respectively. |
| RECONVENE/REPORT | Ms. Reynolds reconvened the meeting to Public Session and reported that Superintendent Barbara Young had submitted her resignation to the Board, effective June 30, 2005, and that the following action had been taken in Closed Session. |
| - Supt. resignation | M/S/C Khademi/Freiberg to accept Barbara Young's resignation agreement. The roll call vote: 5-0. |

ADJOURNMENT |
Ms. Reynolds announced that the next regular meeting of the Board will be on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at 7:00 PM at the Mill Valley School District Administrative Office and adjourned the meeting at 9:22 AM. |
