MINUTES

CALL TO ORDER	The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing BoardÝ ofÝ the Mill Valley School District, met in special session at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 18, 2000 at Mill Valley City Hall Council Chambers, 26 Corte Madera Avenue, Mill Valley, California.ÝÝ Mill Valley Mayor Dennis Fisco called the meeting to order at 7:02 PM.
JOINT MEETING WITH CITY COUNCIL	The Board of Trustees met with the Mill Valley City Council as part of the Cityís regular meeting.Ý In addition to Mayor Fisco, council members present were Clifford Waldeck, Anne Solem, Christopher Raker, and Dick Swanson, along with City Manager Don Hunter.Ý Mutual areas of interest discussed included transportation and traffic issues, the reopening of Strawberry Point School and its impact on traffic, the library expansion with its traffic modifications, school safety and police department update, and a community center update.Ý
RECESS	The Joint Meeting was adjourned at 7:58 PM, with Board of Trustees moving to District Administrative Office to continue its meeting.
RECONVENE / PUBLIC COMMENT	The Board of Trustees reconvened its meeting at the District Administrative Office, 411 Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley, California, at 8:15 PM.Ý As there was no public comment, the meeting was adjourned to Closed Session.
CLOSED SESSION REPORT OUT Negotiations Supt evaluation	President Spencer reconvened the meeting at 9:28 PM and reported that the Board met in Closed Session to consider the following items: Conference with Labor Negotiators John Harter, Monib Khademi and Liz Spencer regarding MVSD / MVTA negotiations, pursuant to Gov. Code ß54957.6; Public Employee Performance Evaluation ñ Superintendent, pursuant to Gov. Code ß54957.Ý No action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT	Mr. Khademi announced that the next regularly scheduled Board meeting, the annual Board organizational meeting, will be at Mill Valley Middle School at 7:00 PMÝ on Monday, December 13, 1999, and adjourned the meeting at 8:16 PM.
