Members Present: Jeffrey Freiberg, Len Gensburg, Julie Kennedy, Monib Khademi, Elizabeth Spencer

CALL TO ORDER The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School District, met in special session at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, November 30, 1999 at 422 Live Oak Drive, Mill Valley, California. President Khademi called the meeting to order at 5:07 PM .
   
AGENDA APPROVAL  M/S/C Freiberg/Spencer (5-0) to approve the agenda. 
   
BOARD RETREAT The Board met with Dr. Harter, Ms. Young, Business Consultant Larry Machi and Executive Assistant Kathy Hattner to discuss communications with staff, parents and community, and also communications among Board members and district administration. Also discussed were work loads for the Board and for administration; teamwork and flexibility; and Board reps to various committees and Board liaisons to schools for 2000. These items will be reported out at the December 13, 1999 Board meeting.
   
ADJOURNMENT Mr. Khademi announced that the next regularly scheduled Board meeting, the annual Board organizational meeting, will be at Mill Valley Middle School at 7:00 PM on Monday, December 13, 1999, and adjourned the meeting at 8:16 PM.
