Minutes

Members Present: Len Gensburg, Jeffrey Freiberg, Julie Kennedy, Monib Khademi, Elizabeth Spencer
Administrative Staff: Barbara B. Young, Superintendent
CALL TO ORDER The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School District, met in special session at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 16, 2001 at the home of Trustee Khademi, 75 Milland Drive, Mill Valley, CA.  President Gensburg called the meeting to order at 4:06 PM.
BUSINESS & FISCAL
MVTA agreement
The Board held a discussion with Mill Valley Teachers' Association Co-Presidents David Selzer and Dee Treshnell regarding recent negotiations, recognizing the efforts of teachers, board members and superintendent in reaching a tentative agreement recently.
- Motion: MVTA agreement M/S/C Khademi/Spencer (5-0) to approve Agreement with Mill Valley Teachers' Association, including salary increase of 8.5%, retroactive to July 1, 2000.
PUBLIC COMMENT / CLOSED SESSION As there was no public comment, the meeting was adjourned to Closed Session at 4:20 PM.
RECONVENE & REPORT OUT
- Superintendent evaluation
Mr. Gensburg reported that the Board met for Public Employee Performance Evaluation - Title: Superintendent, pursuant to Gov. Code §54957, and that no action was taken.
ADJOURNMENT Mr. Gensburg announced that the next regularly scheduled board meeting will be at Mill Valley School District Administrative Office at 7:00 on Monday, January 22, 2001 and adjourned the meeting at 6:45 PM.
