| 1. CALL TO ORDER | The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School District, met in special session at 9:30 AM on Friday, March 28, 2003 at the Mill Valley School District Administrative Office, 411 Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley, CA. President Khademi called the meeting to order at 9:36 AM. |
| 2. CLOSED SESSION A. Public Comment |
There was no public comment. |
| B.1. Recess - Closed session; confidential student matter | Mr. Khademi recessed the meeting to Closed Session at 9:37 AM for Conference with Legal Counsel: Existing Litigation ( Gov. Code §54956.9(a); Anticipated Litigation (Gov. Code §54956.9(b); Case: Confidential Student Matter. |
| B.2. Continued Student Expulsion Hearing | At 10:05 AM the Board reconvened to the Continued Student Expulsion Hearing (Education Code §48918) from February 6, 2003. |
| - Deliberation | At the conclusion of the hearing at 5:25 PM, the Board recessed to Closed Session for deliberation. |
| 3. RECONVENE & REPORT | Mr. Khademi reconvened the meeting at 6:40 PM and reported that the Board had held a Closed Session following a Continued Student Expulsion Hearing to consider its action in the matter. The following action was taken. |
| 4. EXPULSION - Student "A-0203" |
M/S/C Reynolds/Swartz (5-0) to expel Student "A-0203" from the Mill Valley School District. |
| 5. ADJOURNMENT | Mr. Khademi announced that the next regular Board meeting will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 2, 2003 at Tamalpais Valley School and adjourned the meeting at 6:41 PM. |
