| 1. CALL TO ORDER | The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School District, met in special session at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 5, 2002 at Mill Valley School District Administrative Office, 411 Sycamore Avenue, Mill Valley, CA. President Khademi called the meeting to order at 4:15 PM and announced that Mr. Swartz was absent as he had a business emergency. |
| 2. CLOSED SESSION - Negotiations | As there was no public comment, the meeting was recessed to Closed Session for the Board to meet with Labor Negotiator Bill Kay, pursuant to Gov. Code §54957.6. |
| 3. RECONVENE & REPORT OUT | Mr. Khademi reconvened the public meeting at 5:53 PM and reported that no reportable action was taken in Closed Session. |
| 4. BUSINESS & FISCAL | The Board met to continue its discussion from its December 4, 2002 meeting regarding the parcel tax measure resolution, including final language and term of the tax. Added language will provide the flexibility and accountability the Board was seeking in the measure, and also provides a direction for the future. If approved on March 4, 2003, the four year supplemental parcel tax will be $181 per parcel per year, with a 5% annual increase. Mr. Khademi stated that Mr. Swartz had expressed his support for the resolution revision. |
| - Motion: Res. #10-02/03 | M/S/C Freiberg/Gensburg (4-0) to approve Resolution #10-02/03: Special Tax Proposal & Specifications of Election Order. |
| 5. ADJOURNMENT | Mr. Khademi announced that the next regular Board meeting will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, December 18, 2002 at the District Administrative Office and adjourned the meeting at 6:28 PM. |
