A. CALL TO ORDER
|
The Mill Valley School District Board of
Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School
District, met in special session at 7:00 PM at the Mill Valley School
District Administrative Office, 411 Avenue, Mill Valley, CA.
President Khademi called the meeting to order at 7:03 PM. |
| B. CFAC INTERVIEWS |
The Board met to interview the applicants
for the newly created Community Financial Advisory Commission (CFAC).
The following applicants were in attendance: Evan Cross, Michael Fuchs,
Mike Graziano, Frank Sabella, Andrew Shapiro, Dick Swanson and Patty
Wrench. Mr. Khademi reviewed the process for establishing the
commission, its goals, and the composition and terms of service for the
group. The candidates introduced themselves and addressed why they
wanted to participate on the commission. After additional
questions and discussion, the following action was taken. |
| - Motion: appointments |
M/S/C Reynolds/Murphy (5-0) to
appoint the following to the Community Financial Advisory Commission:
Evan Cross, Michael Fuchs, Mike Graziano, Frank Sabella, Andrew Shapiro,
Dick Swanson, Patty Wrench. |
| Terms of Service |
In order to provide continuity on the CFAC,
members will serve two year terms. As this is the first group,
four will serve for two years and three will serve for one year with the
option of serving two additional two-year terms. The members were
polled regarding their preferences for serving. As a result of the
polling and a lottery to determine one of the one-year terms, the
following action was taken. |
| - Motion: terms |
M/S/C Freiberg/Swartz (5-0) to
appoint Michael Fuchs, Frank Sabella, Dick Swanson and Patty Wrench to
two-year terms on the Community Financial Advisory Commission, and to
appoint Evan Cross, Mike Graziano and Andrew Shapiro to one-year
terms, with those appointed to one-year terms eligible for
re-appointment to two full two-year terms. |
| C. ADJOURNMENT |
Mr. Khademi announced that the next regular meeting will be
March 10, 2004 at
7:00 PM, and adjourned the meeting at 9:30 AM. |
