| 1. CALL TO ORDER |
The Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, acting as the Governing Board of the Mill Valley School District, met in special session on at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, September 30, 2003 at the Ralston White Retreat Center, 2 El Capitan, Mill Valley, CA. President Khademi called the meeting to order at 9:00 AM and announced that Mr. Gensburg was absent. |
| 2. AGENDA APPROVAL | M/S/C Freiberg/Reynolds (4-0) to approve agenda. |
| 3. BOARD RETREAT | The Board met until 2:15 PM with Kiddo leadership, PTA leadership and administrative representatives to discuss articulation among the groups and to review and revise the current District fund raising policy. |
| 4. Additional Agenda Item | As an item needing to be addressed by the Board arose after initial posting of the agenda, Ms. Young requested that it be addressed by the Board in Closed Session at this meeting. |
| - Motion to add item | M/S/C Freiberg/Swartz (4-0) to approve the addition of a closed session item needing immediate attention that arose after the initial posting of this agenda. |
| 5. CLOSED SESSION | As there was no public comment, the meeting was recessed to Closed Session at 2:17 PM: Consideration of a Student Matter (Ed. Code §35146); confidential information. |
| 6. RECONVENE/REPORT | Mr. Khademi reconvened the meeting to open session at 2:30 PM and announced that the Board had met in Closed Session and that the following action was taken. |
| - Motion re: student matter | M/S/ Freiberg/Reynolds (4-0) to grant a 30 continuation of a student discipline matter, as requested. |
| 7. ADJOURNMENT | Mr. Khademi announced that the next regular Board meeting will be at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 at Mill Valley School District Administrative Office and adjourned the meeting at 2:31 PM. |
