Community Financial Advisory Commission (CFAC)

Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) Advisory Committee

 

Community Financial Advisory Commission (CFAC)
 A Community Financial Advisory Commission (CFAC) was established to advise the Superintendent and Board on matters relating to the long-term financial health of the District.  The Commission periodically reviews the district’s budget, identifies and analyzes long-term trends, makes recommendations to the Superintendent and Board and participates in community outreach efforts.  The Commission is an advisory to the Superintendent.

Appointments to the advisory in general are for two-year terms, which are renewable.  Continuity is established by some members having a renewable one-year term.

The Commission meets approximately 6 times each school year, with meetings open to the public. 

 

Community Technology Advisory Commission (CTAC)  
The Community Technology Advisory Commission (CTAC) was established to advise the Superintendent and Board on technology directions and solutions that will materially and cost effectively improve student learning, District operations and communications.  The Commission members bring strategic technology expertise and experience, working in a collaborative group committed to public education.  The Commission is an advisory to the Superintendent.

Appointments to the advisory in general are for two-year terms, which are renewable.  Continuity is established by some members having a renewable one-year term.  CTAC meets monthly during the school year at the District Office. CTAC is pleased to announce the addition of two new members to the group as of March 2007: Chuck Gathard and Andrew Mercy.

GATE Advisory Committee

The GATE Advisory Committee was formed in October 2007, composed of staff, parents, and the GATE coordinator. This committee reviews the GATE budget and serves as an advisory on services and programs.
