Conflict Managers are specially chosen and trained students who help other students get along with each other. Here at Strawberry Point Elementary School The entire fourth grade class is trained in November/December and are physically on the playground in January. As fifth graders returning the next year they are given a refresher coarse and resume duties until the incoming fourth grade class is trained. When students are involved in a non-physical dispute, they are asked if they would like Conflict Managers to help them solve their problem. If the disputants so choose, the Conflict managers help them by using a problem-solving process to clarify the nature of the dispute and reach a solution satisfactory to both disputants.
