    Beginning Band-

    Darren Smith is the director of the 5th grade band.  Please contact Darren at (dsmith@mvschools.org) if you have any questions.  I will be co-teaching the Wednesday Beginning Band practices at MVMS with Darren.

    Required Materials:

     
    Beginning Guitar- Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 1/ acoustic guitar (no electrics)/ pick (1.5 mm)/ extra strings (especially 1st string E)/ capo.
     
    Music Technology- no materials required
     

    Advanced Guitar- Hal Leonard Guitar Method Book 2/ same as above

    Intermediate Band-  You will need to own a copy of the Standard of Excellence book 1 and book 2 (enhanced version).  The Magic Flute should have these in stock, but you may want to call ahead. 
     

    Advanced Band- You will need to own a copy of the Standard of Excellence book 2 and book 3 (enhanced versions if available). The Magic Flute should have this in stock, but you may want to call ahead.

    The Calendar is Subject to Change!!!
