    Past Programs and Projects

    2017-2018

Library Rejuvenation - The OMS library was refreshed over the summer with a new carpet, and new furniture, including tables, chairs and wobbly chairs as well as a fresh coat of paint and a new layout.

Mosaic Restoration - On the OMS Back Steps, almost 300 students "butterfly" tiles were been attached along the back wall facing Lovell, holes in the mosaic were patched, and trim was attached to prevent people picking at the tiles.

Basketball Hoops... Lowered! At the request of students, parents, and PE staff over the last couple of years the basketball hoops were lowered so our younger students have an appropriate hoop to shoot at!

    2016-2017

    Mindfulness
Mindfulness lessons in all K-5 classrooms. 16 lessons over an 8 week period will begin in September. Lisa Spendov and Heidi Fulton will train staff and hold a parent information night as well. Lisa and Heidi have been trained through Mindful Schools. PTA supported their work in a few classrooms last year with great success. This year, all classrooms and teachers will experience the lessons. Be on the look out for more information about the benefits of Mindfulness for our students, ourselves, and our world!

    2015-2016

    The Turf Project

One of our projects for the 2015-2016 year was installing turf on the upper playground and to relocate a basketball hoop. Thank you to all parents and staff who made this happen!
