    Tuesday, June 8th, 2021

     

    • Regular schedule today: periods 4A, 5A & 6A followed by Student Support and Enrichment
    • EDL students please check your Google Classroom for important announcements. EDL students come by and pick up your Wellness-to-Go packet!
    • Remember phones must be turned OFF - not on vibrate or silent - and placed in your backpack for the school day
    • All iPads will be collected TODAY. 6th and 7th graders turn in their iPads only; 8th graders turn in their iPads and charging cords/bricks, unless you’ve opted to purchase your iPad




    • All Students- There’s still time to add something memorable from this year to the time capsule. The box is in the Library
    • Yearbooks will be distributed TODAY. If you still need one, bring $45 (cash or check) to the office after school!
    • Shop now for summer reading and help the Library! Online book fair now through June 12th- see Parent Square for the link and more details!

    • Attention all students: TODAY is the deadline for returning all Library books and textbooks! You will be billed for the replacement costs of any books not returned
    • All iPads will be collected TOMORROW morning. You will need to back up any locally stored materials you’d like to keep because devices will be wiped over the summer. Instructions for backing up your data are in your grade level Google classroom. Tech help will available TODAY from 2-3pm
    • Congratulations to our Graduation speakers William Chui, Louise McGinness & Molly Squires, as well as our finalists Reese Furhman, Amanda Mauzy, Shade Murray, Rowan Scobie, Emerson Swift and Brigitte Whittle

    • Attention 8th Grade Girls going to Tam High next year: Volleyball tryouts begin August 9th and they are mandatory to be considered for the team. There are going to be summer opportunities to play and learn some skills too. Look in your google classroom for contact information

    • The water bottle fillers are OPEN, but all of the drinking fountains are CLOSED due to COVID restrictions
    • Students PLEASE PICK UP YOUR TRASH AFTER LUNCH. The seagulls have discovered that you’re back on campus!
    • Reminder: Graduation speeches are due into Ms. Manwaring hands TODAY by 2:15pm! Remember to give them to her- Do NOT submit them in Google classroom

    • Tam High invites all middle school students to join the summer Warrior Wrestling Club. Practices are 6-8pm in Ruby Scott Gym, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays through the summer. For more information email Coach Preston Picus at Tam High or see the poster in the front office
    • 8th graders going to Tam High in the fall and interested in Cheerleading, see your grade level google classroom for details about next week’s practices and tryouts!

We want to recognize your efforts! Log all of your hours through the link in your grade level google classroom by Wednesday, June 2nd
    • Yearbooks for this incredible year will be distributed the last week of school. For those who did not purchase one online in advance, we have a limited number of extra yearbooks for sale beginning today while supplies last. Bring $45 cash (exact change) or check payable to MVMS Yearbook to the office after school and a yearbook will be reserved for you
    • GSA meets today at 2:00pm in room 29. Everyone is welcome!
