Two new resources have been recently published featuring data about California schools and students, the California Healthy Kids Survey and the California School Dashboard.
California School Dashboard
On December 6th, the California Department of Education (CDE) released the 2018 California School Dashboard, which reports performance on measures of how schools are meeting the needs of students. The dashboard includes new features for a more user-friendly interface and some added metrics and reports.
California Healthy Kids Survey
Last Spring, 7th grade students at Mill Valley Middle School (MVMS) completed the California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) and the statewide data has been released. This survey provides rankings on a scale of 100 to 500, with the statewide average being 300, measuring school supports, engagement, safety, violence, victimization, and substance use. You can take a look at the full report for MVMS.
