The Mill Valley School District (MVSD) and the California School Employees’ Association (CSEA) are pleased to announce a tentative agreement on the 2025–2026 Collective Bargaining Agreement, following a collaborative and solutions-focused negotiation process.

The agreement reflects a shared commitment to maintaining excellence in education and directly supports community priorities, including offering competitive salaries and benefits.

Throughout the bargaining process, both teams worked diligently to address key areas such as the work year, salary and benefits, leaves, evaluations, and job descriptions. The agreement represents a balanced approach, supporting fiscal responsibility while ensuring Mill Valley remains a strong and supportive district for our exceptional team of classified staff.

Superintendent Elizabeth Kaufman stated, “We deeply appreciate the time and effort our negotiation teams have invested in reaching this agreement during a year that has deeply impacted our CSEA team. We are also thankful for the leadership and support of the Mill Valley School District Board of Trustees, whose guidance has been essential in achieving fiscally sustainable agreements that invest in our staff.”
CSEA membership will vote on the ratification of the agreement on Monday, June 16, 2025, and the MVSD Board of Trustees will consider ratification at its meeting on June 18, 2025.
