CUPCCAA
Notice is hereby given that the Mill Valley School District has elected to participate in the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act (“CUPCCAA” or the “Act”) and is inviting all interested licensed contractors to submit their company information for inclusion on the District’s list of qualified bidders. Per Section 22032 of the Act, any public works project, as that term is defined in the Act, that is estimated to be $200,000 or less is subject to the informal bidding procedures outlined in the Act. When a project is to be awarded via the informal bidding process, contractors that are registered on the District’s Qualified Contractor List for the category of work being bid will be notified with a general project description, location of where to obtain more detailed information, and the time and place of bid submission, as described in Section 22034 of the Act. Only the contractors who submit a complete and valid application and are placed on the District’s Qualified Contractor List will be eligible to bid on these informally bid projects. All trade categories are subject to the informal bidding procedures and the Qualified Contractor List requirement. Contractors interested in placement on the District’s Qualified Contractor List must be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations and have a current license, both of which are subject to verification. This announcement is sent to various trade journals for publication as a requirement of CUPCCAA to establish and maintain a list of qualified contractors per the applicable sections of the Public Contract Code. This invitation is subject to any and all applicable laws, regulations, and standards. Contractors interested in placement on the District’s Informal Bidding List must submit a “Letter of Interest” using the online form available here. Contractors must resubmit the letter of interest each year.
