Important Update: Transition to CA ERP and Employee Portal Access

As part of our ongoing efforts to improve our financial processes, we have transitioned to a new financial system, CA ERP. Our first payroll processed through ERP will be the July end-of-month payroll, with payment scheduled for 7/31/2026.

CA ERP includes a new Employee Self-Service (ESS) platform called the Employee Portal. This portal will provide employees with access to payroll and other employee-related information.

Please use the Employee Portal link provided to create your own user account. Instructions for setting up your account are included below. We encourage all employees to complete this step as soon as possible to ensure you are ready to access the system when needed.

Your dashboard will show you a quick view of your last paycheck, the calendar (pay dates are highlighted in green), and your sick and vacation leave balances (vacation is only applicable to 12-month classified/confidential employees).

  • My Payroll Tab: This is where all your future pay stubs, W-2s, and employee reimbursements will be stored.  
  • My Information Tab: This holds your general information like hire date, employee #, address, and your current assignments.
  • My Benefits Tab: This tab holds your leave balance summary and your usage.  

The information in your My Information tab was imported into the new system directly by MCOE from our previous system, and we have noted some potentially outdated information for some staff members. If you need to update your contact information (address, phone, personal email, emergency contact), please fill out this form, and we will update the system accordingly. Please be patient, as any corrections will be done manually and may take a few weeks for our team to complete.

If you would like to preserve copies of your previous paychecks or W-2s from the ESS system, we recommend downloading and saving those documents before access to the previous system is no longer available.

ESS Login: For Employees Hired Prior to June 2026

ESS LOGIN

 

MVSD, in partnership with the Marin County Office of Education, has moved to paperless employee checks. Employee Self-Serve (ESS) is a great way to review your pay stubs and your W-2. You will need your Employee ID number to sign up, which is located at top of your pay stub to the left, below your name. 

Please follow the directions on the home page by selecting the district you work in at the top right corner - “District: 29” for Mill Valley via the drop-down menu to the right of the Login and Register buttons.

 

 

You can view the following information on ESS:

  • Your Personnel Information
    • Credentials on file, including expiration date
  • Your Payroll Information
    • PDF Pay Stubs
    • PDF W2 Forms (2011 to present)
