Mill Valley Middle School - Early Morning Concrete Pour Notice

September 21-23, 2026 3:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m.

From Monday, September 21, 2026 to Wednesday, September 23, 2026, crews will pour concrete foundations for the modular classrooms in the early mornings. This work is planned for between 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. to minimize impacts to area traffic and students and families traveling to school.  This work has been coordinated with the City of Mill Valley and police department.

What to Expect:

  • Work hours: Concrete pours are planned to take place from 3 a.m. to 9 a.m.
  •  Increased activity and noise: Additional crews and equipment will be working on-site during these hours.
  •  Concrete trucks: Seven pump trucks will loop between the MVMS campus and the concrete plant in San Rafael throughout this time.
  • Traffic control: Flaggers will be available to safely direct pedestrian and vehicle traffic.
  • Worker parking: Workers will begin parking in the Terra Marin parking lot as early as 2:30 a.m. and have been reminded to be as quiet as possible.

After the concrete pours are complete, the modular classrooms will be delivered in early October. We will provide additional details in advance of that work.

The Mill Valley School District appreciates the community’s patience and understanding while we complete this important work.
