• Substitute Teaching

    Certificated Substitute Teachers 

    If interested in registering as a certificated substitute teacher:

     

    • Start by going to the Marin County Office of Education (MCOE) website for information to sign up: marinschools.org.  
    • Once you have signed up with MCOE you will need to complete the Mill Valley School District in-house substitute packet.  You can obtain this by emailing Human Resources Specialist, Annette Gamboa, at agamboa@mvschools.org.   
    • Once these steps are both completed, you can make an appointment to complete the onboarding process and review the completed new hire paperwork.

    Certificated Subs daily pay rate:

    Full day $224/$112 for half day (3.5 hours)
    Long-term substitutes: $224 for 1-20 days. >20 days, Column 1/Step 1 of the current Certificated Salary Schedule.
    Long-term sub rates apply to credentialed substitutes only
