California Health Kids Survey
The California Healthy Kids Survey (CHKS) is a service of the California Department of Education (CDE) to provide a comprehensive effort to look at key data around school climate and safety, learning supports and barriers, stakeholder engagement, youth development, health, and well-being. The CDE has funded the survey since 1997 to provide data in assisting schools around: 1) fostering safe and supportive school climates; 2) preventing youth health rish behaviors; and 3) promoting positive youth development.
Mill Valley Middle School administers the survey to 7th graders. Beginning with the 2017-2018 school year, MVMS will be administering the survey to each year to our 7th grade class around late winter or early spring. Below are the current and past results of the survey.
